If you've ever found yourself locked out of your MiFi because you forgot the password, you know the frustration it can bring. The good news is that most MiFi devices offer a straightforward way to reset them to factory settings.
For Alcatel LinkZone MiFi
The process is simple. Hold down the Power and WPS buttons simultaneously for 15 seconds. All LED lights will come on, then turn off. Once this happens, release the buttons. Your device has been factory reset, and you can log in using the default credentials that came with the device. You can find these default SSID and Password under the device’s battery or on a sticker on its back cover.
If you're unable to retrieve the default password, connect the MiFi to your PC and access the Admin Web Interface using either 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1.
For ZTE Mobile Hotspots
Locate the Reset Button on the device and press and hold it using a paper clip until "MiFi Resetting" appears on the display. Release the button and wait for the restore process to complete. Afterward, log in using the credentials on the device’s back cover. If unavailable, connect the MiFi to your PC via USB and access the admin web interface at 192.168.1.1 to set up a new WiFi name and password.
For Huawei Value MiFi
Turn on your Mobile Wi-Fi and remove the battery cover. Press and hold the Reset button using a pin for five seconds. The device will automatically restart, restoring default settings. Log in with the credentials inside your Mobile Wi-Fi battery cover, and change your WiFi name and password through the admin dashboard.
